Aadi Kailash or Chhota Kailash is located in the Pithoragarh neighborhood of Uttarakhand, located in the northern part of India.
Aadi Kailash Darma, located at an altitude of 5,945 metres above sea level, is located between Vyas and Chaudas valleys, where you can feel Lord Bholenath.
Aadi Kailash Parvat in Uttarakhand is as beautiful as Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet and is also present among the natural landscape. The special thing is that if you want to go to Kailash Mansarovar, then the passengers have to go through this route only.
This journey begins in Dharchula, the frontier region of Pithoragarh, a beautiful area of Uttarakhand.
Followers of the Hindu faith believe that Kailash Parvat is Meru Parvat which is the axis of the universe and it is the main home of Lord Shankar.
The right hand of the body of the Goddess Sati fell down here, so a stone rock (Pashaan Sheela) is worshipped here considering it as its form. Shaktipeeth is situated here as well. Similar to Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet, a lake is also situated here.

A Shrine of Shiva and Mother Parvati is also located on the shores of the lake. Sages and ascetics have been on this holy journey since ancient times.

One has to face many challenges even to go to Adi Kailash Parvat and along with the thrill, one also gets the experience of passing through very beautiful roads. Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra is not only a two-way trip, but it includes many religious pilgrimages in itself.

Previously, to go to Aadi Kailash, the devotees had to walk 200 kilometers. But now that the route has been made, the path has become a little easier for devotees. Aadi Kailash also holds the same status as Kailash Mansarovar and Aadi Kailash is considered as a Panch Kailash. It is said that when Mahadev went to marry Mother Parvati, he stayed here only.

The feature that makes this mountain different from other mountains is the shape of Om made in it, which is made of snow on a black mountain. According to Hindu mythology, Aadi Kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganapati and Kartik Swami.

After Kailash Mansarovar’s journey, Aadi Kailash’s journey is considered to be the holiest.
