Yamunotri is situated in Uttarkashi, that is located at an altitude of 3235 meters above the sea level. It is one of the famous Pilgrim Places in the Uttarakhand Char Dhaam Yatra.

The main attraction of this Dhaam is the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Yamunotri. It is believed that the Yamunotri temple was built by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. This Dham was rebuilt by Maharani Guleria of Jaipur in the 19th century.

This Dham is situated on the Kalind mountain of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand. The mother of the river Yamuna is worshiped at Yamunotri Dhaam. It is one of the major goddesses of Hinduism. She was married to Lord Krishna ji.
